They say life is full of defining moments.

Both good and bad. But with every defining moment I’ve had, I always chose to stay.

Until Now.

Now, I’m leaving the life I always knew and the people I once called family behind. Here I am in new city with my best friend, a new job, and all I want is to get by.

And it all started with a spilled drink. One that I still think he made me spill on him.

One moment, he was no one but a man who happened to piss me off in a bar. The next, he’s my new boss that I can’t get out of my head.

He’s everything I never let myself dream of. His daughters are everything I never thought I deserved. Yet here they are, embracing me anyway.

But love doesn’t come easy, especially when the shadows of my past are looming over my head. It’s only a matter of time until they make their full appearance.

The question is, can I face them? And will he be willing to face them with me?
